Lake Tanganyika Is Getting Warmer

Lake Tanganyika in East Africa is the second largest lake in the world, and it's getting warmer.

This large lake is a significant source of food for the region, and provides employment to about a million people.

Lake Tanganyika has warmed significantly over the last century, which coincides with a drop in the productivity of the lake.

Scientists used core samples to determine that current temperatures in the lake are higher than any in the last 1500 years.

Researchers feel the most likely cause is human induced global warming.
